Da Da Dad...

Kensley and Daddy spent their first Father's Day together this year! We had such a great day. We got to hang out at home for a while and then we headed in town to have dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, Kansai. Daddy picked it and unfortunately for us, the a/c was out. We didn't sit at one of the grills, however it was still very sticky inside. We managed to survive and soon headed home to surprise Daddy with his gift. Unfortunately, we had to wait and wait for him to come upstairs...

Kensley was hanging out on the floor with her puppy...Lilly was too stuck up to hang out on the floor with her, but Lexie was thick in the middle of it...as usual!

Yay! Daddy finally made it upstairs!

Tell me again, Daddy...what did I get you? Maybe if I taste it I will remember!

Nope, I still don't remember...

That's right...it is a wallet with pictures of me in it!!

We desperately tried to get a family picture from this day...but this was the best we could get! I love the lighting!!

Overall the day was a success! I think James had a great time spending the day with Kensley and me. I can't even imagine what Father's day will be like next year. She will be walking/running around everywhere! Lucky for us she still just hangs out on the blanket...it's only a matter of time though!

First trip to the beach...

Look at these girls...they are soo spoiled. Grammy and Gran Robin bought the girls these little cars that you push around. They both love them. Addie holds on with one hand and waves and says "bye, bye" to everybody. Kensley hold on generally 10 and 2, but sometimes she gets crazy and drives 12 and 3! I guess she is taking after Trooper Daddy!
Again, can I say spoiled? They definitely weren't lacking in the toy department while in Florida. Between Kensley and Addie, I think they had enough toys for a toy store! This was an awesome place to set up their play area. Right outside the window was an awesome view of the ocean!

The boys were obviously jealous of the girls' view...

Finally, she made it out to the water! She loved playing around in her little float in the baby pool. It was just her size and just her temperature. I think she was a little uneasy with the ocean at first because it was so big and a little cool at first, but felt awesome once you got used to it! She finally started warming up to it towards the end of the week...figures!

The last of 'em...

Tribute to Letography!!

So my previous post has some pictures from Kensley's 6 month "photo shoot" with Leslie. I feel like I cannot praise her enough for her amazing photography skills. Therefore I decided I would blog about it. For those of you that haven't had the opportunity to get pictures taken with Leslie, you are truly missing out. She is so patient with us...as a mom, I want all of our pictures to be just perfect, so I am often jumping in the middle of her shots and "fixing" Kensley. I also want to get that perfect pose which with a 6 month old, it is hard to do. Not for Leslie though, she was still able to catch those smiles and impromtu moments not only with Kensley, but also with James! He thinks he is awesome at picking out poses and we'll never tell him, but he really does come up with some great ideas. Also, Leslie is a WAAYY preggo and she was still out in the heat, laying on the ground, getting those perfect shots. She is AMAZING! I will NEVER go anywhere else to have our family pictures done! Thank you, Les!!! We love you and our pictures!

I remember...

I remember when I was begging Dr. Borden to put me on bed rest because I was miserable. I remember wanting desperately for my pregnancy to be over. I remember thinking I've never felt my back hurt so much and feeling like I was never going to sleep normal again.

Even though there were many times I wanted to "just get it over with", I really miss those days...feeling her little butt stick up and her little feet and hands moving randomly in my belly. I never could have guessed the love I would feel for this little girl. Six months ago (on June 3rd) we welcomed Miss Kensley into the world and our lives truly have changed...for the better!

We, of course, had to get pictures with Miss Addie!

Toddler seat in the tub??

Mommy didn't quite realize that there was a bigger seat on the other side of her tub...I am so happy to have discovered this because it is very hard to give her a bath in the big girl tub. I think I am too old to bend down there... Look at those eyes!

She gets so mad if I take away her washcloth. Nevermind the bath toys she has...she would much rather play with the washcloth...

Prunes, seriously? Yucky!

Hmm, I'm not sure that I really like this fruit...
Mommy, why did you let me get this nasty stuff all over my face?

Wait a sec...maybe I do like prunes afterall!

Where has the time gone...

I'm already 6 months old...

It was time for bed when mommy realized that she didn't take any pictures of me on my 6 month birthday!

Could I look anymore like my daddy?

Splish Splash...I was takin' a bath

Wow! I finally graduated to the big bathtub!

Hmm, I'm not sure if I like being here in this big tub all alone...I think I may need a friend!

Time for friends....and carrots!!

Kensley met her boyfriend at Angel's house to play on Thunder Over Louisville. They had a lot of fun, but Braylon seemed to be doing all these neat tricks...like walking and riding in a walker. Miss Kensley was very interested in what he was doing....one day she'll be doing the same thing. Look out!

Carrot time!! Wow, her first time eating carrots....she's getting so big. Mommy thought this would be a good idea because I was having such a hard time getting her to eat cereal. She happened to be 4 1/2 months at this time. I told the doctor I took it upon myself to start giving her carrots....well apparently I wasn't supposed to give her carrots this early in age. Good job Mommy!

Rewind part deux....

Yay! I found another free minute to blog. So anyway....Happy Easter Kensley. These are some gifts from Grammy that Kensley loves! She got a beach towel with her name on it and we love it!

Kensley went to Addie's to have an Easter Egg Hunt...
Kensley really wishes she could have what Addie does....
